In 2020, the installed capacity for electricity from gas is something like 30.77 GW (https://ember-energy.org/data/electricity-data-explorer/) or 32.54 GW (https://www.energy-charts.info/charts/installed_power/chart.htm?l=en&c=DE&legendItems=2x4fu&year=2020)

In the model we currently use data for pure gas power plants (OCGT and CCGT) from powerplantmatching resulting in a capacity of 6.4 GW and data for KWK Gas Anlagen (central gas CHP) from Marktstammdatenregister resulting in 18.3 GW. So in sum we get 24.7, which is 6-8 GW off.

Own calc for the share of OCGT+CCGT and gas CHP in 2020 are roughly 10 GW and 20 GW. So we are especially missing data from powerplantmatching if we apply the default lifetime of OCGT/CCGT etc. For now, we just scaled the gas capacity to the wished values, which can only be a quick fix.
