In the Account specification, concrete implementation details concerning the provider, user and auth fields are yet to be defined, i.e. specify if:

  • the provider is a URL, a 'nick' name that becomes looked up somewhere or just an identifier for UIs
  • the user field was meant to be a user id (e.g. user_a) or a UI-friendly name
  • the auth field was meant as password field

This issue will be solved when we know what we need there. That is when we specify the qabel storage protocol in terms of user authentication etc.
