Having sliders for the color to change depending on different factors would be great, I'm thinking a color for Noon, Sunrise/Sunset, and Night (that gradients between them during transtion periods) as well as sliders for a rain color that multiplies the current color with the rain color (or optionally overrides it) so that players can make the clouds, even during day, turn darker and colder when its stormy.

A Color setting for time is doable and I'll consider it, especially because i've already spent a great amount of time getting nowhere to support custom dimension skys. I need to figure out a way that makes the configuration simple enough to understand.
The weather color is based on the game's sky and fog color, which I don't want to change.
