Qubes OS release

4.2.3-rc1

Brief summary

When backing up Qubes, if xscreensaver activates, the backup does not complete successfully.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start backup (GUI)
  2. Walk away from computer for extended period
  3. Return, login through xscreensaver
  4. Backup has frozen, no error message

Expected behavior

  1. Start backup (GUI)
  2. Walk away from computer for extended period
  3. Return, login through xscreensaver
  4. Backup has completed successfully after a good night's sleep.

Actual behavior

Backup freezes and must be aborted and restarted.
