As a long-term idea, it might be useful to add the possibility to save information on nuclear structure, i.e. the HFS A and B (and C?) parameters, and isotope shifts per isotope for specific transitions in the scheme.

This could then also be linked to an interactive/automatic display of the HFS for a selected isotope, transition and projected resolution.

Brainstorm example for Sb-119 on the 0 cm-1 --> 45 945.34 cm-1 transition (not in database yet) attached.

This is a very interesting idea and definitely something we could add. One possibility would be to have this as an optional entry for the data, as is the case for saturation curves right now. When the entry is there, figures and data are generated and served, otherwise not. I'd need some more information about this.

  • Is this scheme or element / isotope specific?
  • What would a useful data / database format be?
  • Do you have code already (I assume so) to construct the plot from the input data and if so, in what language?
