Hello,

Is it possible to enable full-text search for RIPE Database Mirror?

I managed to set up mirror and ElasticFullTextIndex service. But it seems that the data from the WHOIS_MIRROR_RIPE_GRS database is not getting though.

I tried editing the whois.properties file and setting the whois.source variable to values other than LOCAL, but it didn't work.

Hello,

Apologies for the delayed response. Could you share your whois.properties ?

Have you tried setting whois.sources and whois.db.slave.url as follows?

whois.sources= RIPE-GRS
...
whois.db.slave.url=jdbc:mariadb://localhost/WHOIS_MIRROR_RIPE_GRS
...

The objects are being loaded into Elasticsearch based on the schema specified in whois.db.slave.url property

Hello again,

We realised that our documentation lacked sufficient information on how to achieve this. To address it, we added a new section under Installation-instructions for anyone who wants to enable full-text-search locally.

https://docs.db.ripe.net/Installation-and-Development/Installation-instructions/#how-to-enable-full-text-search-queries

Please let us know if we can help you in anything else.
