Terminology

I know this is a big can of worms because I constantly find myself questioning which word(s) to use when describing this "set of concepts." This will naturally evolve, but being purposeful in our word choices makes a difference. Here are a few of the terms that I struggle to have the right word for plus some of my own thoughts/explainations.

• Harberger taxes, partial common ownership (PCO), SALSA, or COST - I currently lean toward partial common ownership because the word "taxes" scares people away, and I feel it's the most descriptive.
• Self-assessed value/price or always-for-sale price - I use self-assessed more often, but always-for-sale is also really effective in driving home the concept to new people.
• Tax rate, fee rate, or contribution rate - Again "taxes" creates auto resistance in some cases and if not implemented by a government, it doesn't feel like the right word. Taxes do have the connotation for being used for public goods and services which is important for many implementations.
• Fee payment (rate), license payment, tax payment rate, contribution, etc. - I really struggle with trying to differentiate between the % that is assessed globally and the ongoing amount a licensor pays based on their self-assessed value.
• Owner or licensor - Because I use partial common ownership most often, I tend to lean into the idea that no one is really an outright owner.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some and this is definitely going to be an "Unsolved Question," but wanted to start the conversation. Curious to hear the RxC folks' perspectives because they have the most experience and thought put towards educating people on these concepts.
