I tried to scan the DOS and windows versions of Versailles 1685 but android scummvm says there is no scummvm game in my folder. The windows and Android standalone scummvm detect the game so it seems to be an issue with the libretro core.

Hopkins FBI is detected but crashes the android scummvm core. I tried the Windows and Linux version with same results. The game works flawlessly in the Windows and Android Scumm standalone

Three things...

  1. Could you provide logs?
  2. Could you try using Load Content and seeing which file will load it?
  3. I'm assuming you're using the latest version of ScummVM core?

Hi Rob,

So these are basically the only 2 scumm games I can't get running on Retroarch libretro. Btw, I have all the engine dat files in my extras folder as well.

I am new to using logs with Retroarch, so I hope I am providing the right thing. You will find them attached. I changed the folder name of versailles to versailles-win since the log was generated. The log doesn't seem to include anything on what causes the crash
I am using the latest core, I made sure to check for updates this morning and thee were none.
I decided to make things easier and just upload the games to Google Drive for you to test : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1r8SAzsb5pX2DbE9UxAd5qa6uSyiZHbYn?usp=sharing

Inside the Retroarch Core
Hopkins FBI is found by retroarch libretro and recognized as hopkins-win, but it crashes when I try to play it. This behavior does not occur on the standalone android and windows versions
Versailles 1685 is not recognized by retroarch libretro when I try to add it. The same folder is recognized as versailles 1685 (dos) and versailles 1968 win by the standalone windows and android version
Inside Retroarch, starting the ScummVM core and launching a .scummvm file
All of my scumm games are in folders named after the scummID. In each folder I have a .scummvm file named after the long name of the game and inside the file I have written the shortname of the game to use with my frontend Arc Browser. I can't get either game to launch using this method either
Let me know if you need anything else!
