Do I understand correctly that using the command winget upgrade --all is similar to WAU?
The main advantage of WAU are easily configurable notifications, isn't it?

Let me know if I am overlooking something.

below is the TL;DR: version of the main readme.

please do not forget about these features:

• full logging of each upgrade cycle
• ability to run winget in system context (winget is a component of desktop installer APPX package)
• ability to add extra logic to each upgrade operation (via Mods) [optional]
• whitelisting/blacklisting (some apps have their own dedicated updaters (i.e. web browsers) [optional]
• centralized configuration (Group Policies) [optional]

On the roadmap there is an option to select and use a custom winget repository (.i.e in intranet) in scenarios where open access to internet is blocked [optional].
