It might be worth spending a little more time with the packsging of the apps so that more of the apps work for all the users.

List the apps that need to be packaged,
mark those which work and those that don't
repair them.

Consider using https://pyinstaller.org/en/stable/usage.html to rebuild the apps for db2json23
