Things to add/fix in the new Assignment Builder Interface

I was trying the new Assignment Builder in the ebook py4e-int-S25 and found some things that should be improved/fixed.

For a Peer assignment do not make the default Yes for “Show Async Peer” - make it no. This should not be turned on till after lecture is over.

For a new assignment, do not make the assignment visible to students by default - make it not visible by default. We do not want students to see an assignment as we are creating it.

For the list of assignments, make the name of the assignment clickable to enter the edit mode (easier than clicking on the pencil icon - but that can also enter the edit mode)

Please show the list of assignments in alphabetical order by default (as it was in the old assignment page)

@barbarer The assignment list can be sorted by any column with the click of a button. Some teachers like them sorted by due date, others like them alphabetically. This is a better solution that makes everyone happy.

These are all things that the instructor can set, so are lower priority than the items labeled as bugs.

Where do we set that we want the list to be sorted alphabetically? If there isn't a way to set this can we keep whatever the instructor did the last time they visited the page? It is a royal pain to have to sort it every time I get to that page.

Barb, we sort by due date descending, because that is what most teachers want. I understand it may not fit for you when you are working on developing a question bank for PI. Its really not that hard to click at the top of the name column.

However, Once I sorted by name I have changed classes and moved around and every time I come back it remembers to sort by name. So it seems to give you what you want.
