Description

The Chassis is the central structure for the rover that all other subsystems will mount onto

Constraints

  • Large enough to contain various equipment such as PCB's, 40v batteries, and other sensors
  • Designs with mounting locations for 3 and 4 legs
  • Rail system for changing mounted equipment between challenges such as science, storage bucket
  • Easy access to the inside either via a door or quick release panel
  • Mounting space for Comm Tower on rail panel or side
  • Mounting space on roof for Arm
  • Wiring passthroughs to each of the legs for drive, rail panels for attachments, and the roof for arm

Materials

  • Aluminum extrusion and brackets for frame
  • PLA/PETG for panels

Electronics

  • 40v Batteries
  • Dorito
  • E-Stop
