Oh boy, this repository (and the server code) need a bit of an update. First of all, I'm all for a rewrite or a redo of how this whole thing works. I'll probably take a look at GitHub Pages to see if that can work - if so it will be the easiest thing to do. I'll put a reminder on my calendar for Sunday to take a close look at this. |

Good news and bad news. Good news is that this is a great change, and I've made the corresponding server changes to allow this to work. Bad news, I can't deploy this. I mean, yes, this server code is really outdated and janky, but I can't actually get to the VM that hosts this to update the server code so that this PR can get completed. In the meantime, I've started the process of migrating to GitHub Pages. There's a new repository (https://github.com/SO-Close-Vote-Reviewers/socvr.org) and it's visible (for the time being) at https://beta.socvr.org. Once I get some feedback that the site looks the same (and works with your contributions) then I'll move over the DNS record and we'll stop using the VM for the site. |

I'm not sure the
/images/links work as I hope; perhaps somebody who is more familiar with Github pages could chime in with a recommendation for how exactly to solve this. The proposed approach has the obvious flaw that you cannot verify the image links from the source.I recovered the images by drafting a post on Stack Overflow with a link to the image I wanted to capture, then downloaded it and added it to Git.
The same could be done with the links from the meeting transcripts but I'm really not convinced they are useful. Should the images perhaps be inlined into the transcript if they are supposed to actually communicate something?
