I noticed, that the markup was written using the Bootstrap framework.

What was the reason for it? Rapid prototyping? What about other framework (like ZURB Foundation or Skeleton or a framework like Flexboxgrid or flexgrid based on Flexbox)?

How important is performance to you? What about responsive? Sabayon is using Google Analytics - what do they tell? Share some data, please (display resolution, user agent and OS are imho the most important)

What are the plans concerning the other products (Forums, Wiki, Repository page etc.)? I didn't noticed any discussions on the Mailing List so maybe I missed it on IRC.

I'd like you to shortly document your reasoning behind him and what constraints did you have which made you pick Bootstrap.

There is no particular reason why we used Bootstrap.
We used it in first place just for rapid prototyping (and where i have at least a bit of experience), and to have at least something where we could put our ideas on.
@lxnay can say something about analytics data, i can't help on this. i could share insights on my personal blog, which is mainly read by sabayon users/devs.

There was some discussion on ML but mostly happens on IRC (feel free to join #sabayon-dev on chat.freenode.net), our aim is to use a unique design across all the sabayon websites(wiki, packages, and so on). If you have hands-on experience with those frameworks and want to be on charge of keeping in well-status the code with them you are free to propose/open PR (of course, credits will go to whose belong)

Are you interested in learning other Front-End frameworks? If so, I can look after documenting my procedure. Any suggestions where to put it? (Separate .md files? HTML comments?)

I joined #sabayon-dev regularly a few years ago. At the moment, there are too many IRC channels for me to comprehend/follow up everywhere. But I joined your Gitter channel ;-)

Why is everything XHTML? phpBB forums, MediaWiki, Packages, … could be a challenge to orchestrate them all. Is it possible to boot a Vagrantbox with a demo instance of these?
