This is a web application built in order to create a user friendly interface for searching the books available from the OpenLibrary API using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
This web application uses HTML (for the framework), CSS(for styling), JavaScript(For adding functionalities and running the search engine) and external APIs(for pulling the required data from the information provider - OpenLibrary).
The application comprises of:-
-> A home page that displays books recommnded for the user
-> A home button to navigate to the home page easily
-> A search bar that connects with https://openlibrary.org/ in order to provide search results of given query (User can search for a book using book title, author name, edition number, published year, ISBN number)
-> Book description of the search results (clicking on this will provide the user with description about the book if it is available from the interface) (example for a book that has description available - "C# programming" by "Kevin Hoffman")
-> Hyperlink that redirects the user to the page of the corresp onding book in the OpenLibrary website from which the user can enjoy the book
