Isochrones #8

Hi @rkamnik, Thanks for your feedback!
Best. |
Dear Samweli
Thanks for your quick response. I'm working on isochromes for whole week now and no results, so yes please if you could help me out.
1) Please help me setting up my postgis and creating extensions in the database. Online there is a bunch of instructions so I don't know which one to follow. I think that my postgre is installed correctly, then I just unzip postgis folders and files and copy them to the postgre folder – is that OK? If not, what should I do. I'm a windows user.
2) Now, how to create its extension in databse?
Best regards,
Rok KAMNIK

Hi @rkamnik<https://github.com/rkamnik>,
Thanks for your feedback!
1. This can happen if the database doesn't have the postgis extension, so you have to make sure postgis is installed and you create its extension in the database.
If you want me to help you out on setting up the database and data before you use the plugin, just reach me out through my email.
2. Inside "id" there should be any type of identifier that will be unique, "geom" is the geometry column for the table, you wont need to edit any data on this field, it is auto generated when importing shapefile to the database.
3. You can find the sample data I used on the video here https://github.com/Samweli/isochrones/tree/master/iso/test/data<url>, the point layer is inside catchment folder with filename hospitals and network layer inside network folder with filename roads.
Best.

Dear Samweli
Me again ☺. I have resolved my database problems and add extension. I think the server and the database now works fine. I have also managed to import roads_cut and warehouse file in the database (Figure 3). I think that this is now OK.
1) When I start the Isochrone plugin I get the message in Fig 4. What is the problem now? Maybe because I work in the state CRS MGI 1901 / Slovene National grid 3912??? I'm attaching my dataset…
2) Unfortunatelly I can't test your dataset (obtained from GitHub) – roads, hospitals. Qgis says: Invalid data source: … path … is not a valid or recognised data source. Why so??? (Fig. 5)
Thank you verry much.
