i just realised that most all apps that scoop operate on are zips themselves lol. but yeah, the manifest files contain specific fields like:
so, maybe if those things are omitted, then the left-behind logic is pretty static 🤔 😅 😄. |

found one more solution on similar lines and dedicated to doing mostly just that: get latest version of artifact from specified github repo on the spot eget. found from: https://www.ii.com/scoop-windows-package-manager/#_apps_i_manage_with_scoop |

i have wandered around a bit here, and

in start-programs dir:"$ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/"

P.S:
the backslashes in paths in powershell scripts suck big time, readability nightmare.
