Playing on Windows 10 with the 64 bit version of TSC 2.1 and an XBox 360 controller, I've found that the up and down controls on the directional pad are inverted. The joystick works as expected.

I did not see this problem in Ubuntu Linux.

We'd want these to work as expected by default.

@xet7 - Did a game controller work for you in Windows? What type of controller did you use? Do you have an XBox 360 controller? It is a very common controller.

The default axis value for "Ver2" in the joystick tab of the options menu is 7, as documented here for an XBox 360 Controller in Windows:
https://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/Xbox360Controller

No other axis value entered works.

I have this gamepad #604 (comment)

Works:

  • Ubuntu 20.04 64bit
  • Linux Mint 19.3 64bit
  • RasPi4 Raspbian

Up and down inverted on those 4 buttons at left (maybe also left joystick, I don't remember did I test):

  • Windows 7 Home 64bit
  • Windows 10 Home 64bit

If someone fixes this, I can build new Windows installer packages.

Aha, appearently a Windows problem with all kinds of controllers. Setting to confirmed; we'll see what we can do with it.
