I am currently trying to use GPU resources in Google Chrome running inside a Docker container but have encountered issues. When I run nvidia-smi inside the container, it correctly detects my GPU, along with the driver and CUDA versions. However, when I check chrome://gpu, I see that Chrome is running with software acceleration only instead of utilizing the GPU.
Additionally, when I attempt to initialize Chrome with GPU support using the relevant flags, I receive an initialization error.
I would appreciate any insights from anyone who has faced this issue before. Specifically:
Are there specific node-chrome or driver versions that support GPU usage with selenium?
Are there any additional configurations required to enable GPU acceleration properly?
Here is my setup:
OS: Fedora
GPU: NVIDIA RTX A2000 12GB
NVIDIA Driver Version: 565.57.01
CUDA Version: 12.7
Docker Base Image: selenium/node-chrome:latest
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
