Help this package request https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1375315 so this package can be shipped with Ubuntu

We don't typically ship packages for distros and rather rely on ruby gems and pypi to distribute packages - why is this not adequate for your use?

Some projects offer deb packages themselves when they happen to have them. That would speed up packaging for Debian and Ubuntu.

And to make you aware that Ubuntu might package it. Then you could time releases with distro releases.
