UI elements for resources are not great

For a custom resource, the UI provides 2 views.

The summary view:

The detail view:

To the end user, the most useful field is probably the the description, which in both views is restricted to a single line of maybe 40 characters.

IMO, a far better design would be a summary view with a rich scrollable text box that could display lengthy text, something like the notes detail view.
