Actuator Group in the specification

Hi all

I was considering that having an additional group called “actuators” to be able to PUT specific commands would be great.

examples of actuators could be:

• Anchor winch
• winch (in general)
• pasarel
• horn
• engine throttle target
• engine rpm target
• engine cut-off
• engine start
• general purpose on-off switches

All of these are in essence very similar to the RudderAngleTarget in the Steering group, allowing a bigger degree of automated control.

Applications could be from having full-glass portable command post in a tablet, useful while mooring single handed, to converge all controls of the ship in one single point.
