I know a little bit of the history behind this. But years have passed by, Could we make another approach to Jordan Russell to ask for permission to use his TB2K code freely. I am sure he is not making any money from this.

I vote for this! I purchased a license of both TBX and Sp last year when I started using this, but obviously not dealing with the patching would be fantastic.

That would be ideal. I asked Jordan about this a couple years back with no luck.

How about asking one more time. If he wants money, I could contribute some.

Ok, cross your fingers

Message from Jordan:

Sorry for the delay.

Indeed the project hasn't been updated in ages, and years ago I actually
did intend to switch it to the "zlib" license like Toolbar97, but didn't
get around to it and then kind of forgot about it.

I won't be able to work on this in the very near future, but at some
point I will look into uploading the code into a GitHub repository under
a new license, which you could then fork and modify as needed, and if
appropriate, submit pull requests.

Promising but no immediate solution.

It it time to send a reminder to Jordan?

I've just needed to made a minor change to Tb2Item.pas, changed the _tbDropdownComboArrowWidth constant to global variable, so that I can customize the width of the little dropdown arrow button on the right side of a split toolbar button.

Now I wish we have a public repo for Toolbar 2000 so that I can commit my changes.

After so many years of using all the VCL UI control libraries, I must say Toolbar 2000 + SpTbxLib is the best menu/toolbar control set.

Hi, everyone,
I'd like you have a look at https://github.com/plashenkov/Toolbar2000
if they can do it, why not you?

just a hint, I'm not too familiar with these licenses
