A common practice for teachers is to tell students to attached a google doc immediately when they start a task. This helps teachers help students manage their google docs. It also prevents students from losing the file in their drive. Currently there is no way for teachers to know if a student attached a file unless the students submit. When students submit, the task status changes to submitted with visible hashing. But teachers dont want students to submit until its ready. What are some ideas to make the interface show students that have attached their work vs students that have not?
One idea is to add a new status. I am resistant to that because we already have a status. Also, statuses should be for students primarily.
What about a side panel of a task is clicked that shows all student attachments.
Or maybe a little triangle in the corner of each cell denoting a student attachment.
