Yeah, some sca files just don't get imported properly. There are cases where the transform matrices aren't handled properly by my script, but I never nailed down how to fix the issue without breaking other things. Changing Blender versions will have no meaningful effect on that. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be working on this issue myself any time soon. If anyone were to make a fix and submit a pull request I'd be happy to look at it though.
Some sca files import incorrectly, which only seems to happen on a few models.
Example: Monkeylord
Also happens to a lesser degree on the Salem Class animations.
This effect compounds; exporting it then importing again results in things being even more broken, likely for the same reason.
Export seems to be fine, however.
Tested on Blender 4.2.5
