ERROR: cannot find the Guide!!

If you fail to find it in your installation (which I don't know what contains in the Mac version), you can always search it on the web. I get the right answer as the first link when searching for stellarium guide by Google.

I don't know how uninstalling works on Macs. Uninstalling on Windows, there is an option to remove all traces which I must avoid and have never tried. (Such option should come with 2 confirmations!) Indeed, no "reset" option on install. But you can simply delete config.ini.

I don't know how uninstalling works on Macs.

Standard way to uninstalling applications on Macs are deleting it from Application directory (move to Trash). Standard directory for configuration and data stuff for applications is ~/Library/Application Support/<Application Name>.

The path for configuration data can be found in Stellarium User Guide, page 60
