The following issue has caught my attention for over six months.
When trying to Google cast anything from Stremio android app, the app always gives a playback error. It then does connect to the casting device but when I click on the play icon it usually starts playing. However, it is always out of sync with subtitles and does not always honor the right audio channel. I remember that this app used to work before, but it has been a long time. I've tried it on multiple networks and devices and the problem seems to always exist. I would be willing to help in solving it or suggesting code revisions, however I want to know whether this a known bug since (at least for me) it would seem like many people would suffer from the same issue. Latest android app build, latest Android on Pixel 9.
To Reproduce
Install app on recent android device
Use any catalog to browse and choose content
Connect to a Chromecast without playing anything yet
Whenever play icon is pressed, it will throw a player error.
Subsequent pressing of the play icon will often play it on the Chromecast device but it will have defaulted to (original or first?) audio track and incorrect or no subtitle. Also audio and subtitles get out of sync and will get worse with time.
Expected behavior
I expect the app to not produce a player error whenever I try to cast. I also don't expect the sync issues.
