Welcome to SyConn Discussions!
Hello everyone! 👋
Thank you for stopping by our repository. We are excited to have you here and we hope you find what you're looking for. This is a place where collaboration and ideas come to life, and we are always eager to welcome new contributors and users.
🌟 What is SyConn about?
The word SyConn comes from Synaptic Connectivity. It is a connectomic analysis toolkit for automated synaptic connectivity inference based on dense EM segmentation data. SyConn uses deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) and random forest classifiers (RFC) to infer a richly-annotated synaptic connectivity matrix from manual neurite skeleton reconstructions by automatically identifying mitochondria, synapses and their types, axons, dendrites, spines, myelin, somata, and cell types.
🚀 Getting Started
If you're new here and want to do inference using SyConn, please check out Examples. Data and models will be provided upon request. If you want to run the analysis on your data, please check out docs/instructions.rst.
