I'd like to add this very useful block to all course main pages on our site. But how can that be done? Previously, I have added blocks to the site main page, or category level, but it seems as Mass action block can only be added on course level.

Not sure, if this would be the right way to do this, but you could add the block as required block to your theme. In the config.php of your theme set $THEME->requiredblocks = 'massaction';

I guess this should work, but I'm not sure, if this would be the "go to" way of doing such a thing.

@PhMemmel thank you. Would be a logic feature to be able to add the block on categories, though, like the Activities & Resources block.

I'm not sure if I got you right. You want to specify a category so that a massaction block will be added to all courses in this category right? Do you know a block you can do such a thing with? I do not know the "activities and resources" block, do you have a link? If there is a moodle way of doing such a thing I would be very interested in finding out how this is being done :-)

@PhMemmel we do that with, for instance, the HTML Block. Sorry, the name of the block is just Activities. I guess thet are native blocks, but we also have Sharing Cart added that way.
You just go to a category with editing active and adds a block, then uses the settings to select that it should be in all courses.

I tried to find out how this can be done and I will try to figure out if this can be transferred to block_massaction. Thank you for the input and the suggestions. I did not know this kind of possibility exists!
