Current behavior

There are two ways to provide previews for your custom content types: via page TSconfig or event listener.

https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ApiOverview/ContentElements/CustomBackendPreview.html

Expected behavior/output

From my understanding, this is not correct. There are 3 ways (I am aware of). The additional way - not mentioned in that section - is to assign a preview renderer to the content type (or plugin, or in general) directly via TCA.

This is explained at length below, on the same page:

https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ApiOverview/ContentElements/CustomBackendPreview.html#writing-a-preview-renderer

So, I think, it would make sense to mention that there as well.
