Heyo!

Love the mod so far. My only twitch in my eye is my inability to run the pipes through a wall without leaving a hole in said wall. Or if I need to run them in the same space as the walls/floors/ceiling, I now have long holes everywhere.

So, my request is twofold:

  • Add in facades/covers to be able to hide the pipes.
    • Personally, I would love the ability to place a different cover on each side similar to AE2 facades, but I understand if that is a big ask.
    • The other option I envision is a full block you can place over the pipe, similar to Mekanism Covers or the old ic2 foam that got painted after it hardened.
  • Compatibility with other mods that add facades or covers
    • I also understand that this is most likely not going to happen (I know no java but can guess this might be a bit difficult), but the worst that can happen from asking politely is you saying no. lol.

Anywise, thank you again for the amazing (and good looking) mod and look forward to whatever your next projects might be. Have a great day!

Thanks for the kind words!

The ideal scenario would be to reuse the facade system from AE2, but it is time consuming to expose it for external use. Full block covers are easier, but they are a bit sad (and also time consuming to implement, just less so). 😄

Immersive engineering also has a way to pass power through a block that might be interesting. They convert a block between two connectors into a passthrough when you hit the connector with a hammer. Maybe something similar would work? It keeps whatever texture the block had to begin with, it just not transports power through it. Just an idea. :)
