Placeholder API is no longer necessary #781

When downloading mod menu, placeholder api is as well. This mod is not necessary for mod menu to run--the game loads fine without it.

That isn't the point. From the description;

support for QuickText formatting in mod descriptions thanks to Patbox's Text Placeholder API
