@ccooffoo Thank you for taking the time to make this issue. I am going to assign you this issue, however do not think each exercise needs a title (Exercise 1: "Some title for the exercise with link.") and a description. I believe numbering the exercise is enough, but I am open to seeing what information you want to add as a description. Also, please avoid duplicating the information in the exercise to also be in the description. |
Thanks for your comment @rlmoser99 I agree with numbering the exercise and I appreciate the fact each exercise now has the instructions on the Replit platform, for some weird reason on my end that information was missing; that was the main reason of my suggestion, so I have only this small suggestion: Changing the order of some text and facilitating a picture to make it easier for learners how to set the Replit environment for the exercises. Avoiding the description because it's already set in each exercise. |
@ccooffoo I'll assign you to this issue. Although I want to point out that your suggested added text might be better suited in this paragraph, as opposed to a new paragraph.
In addition, I wanted to warn you that we are considering replacing replit, although I am not sure of the timeline. |
@rlmoser99 I like it. And, regarding Replit, in my opinion it's more complex; deactivating the AI tools, the tabs, etc., it has a good tools though, but probably for js exercises there are more options out there, it depends on how you guys want to displayed the content (exercises, instructions, etc). If that the case, it's better to keep it simple, until you guys decide to what solution implement instead of Replit. |

Describe your suggestion
The exercise instructions lack context about what each exercise is designed to teach. I think a common user, just knowing the file name isn’t enough. It would be helpful if each exercise included a brief description of what to expect, so the user can know what to solve or what skill to practice.
It could be good something like this:
Exercise 1: "Some title for the exercise with link."
Description: "Brief description of the goal of this exercise."
File: Troubleshooting.js
Looking forward to any insights on this issue.
