firmware update doesn't show after installing busybox

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open bcmon, click ok by asking for firmware updates, bcmon crashes
2. Install busybox
3. Not asking for firmware updates anymore but still can't see my firmware

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Firmware model: not detected
installed tools version: 0
Installed fw version: 0

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using the latest bcmon and busybox version 1.23.1
Android 2.3.6 on my samsung galaxy s2 plus (GT-I9001)


Please provide any additional information below.
The most strange part is that it doesn't ask for firmware update when I install 
busybox while everyone on youtube does get that

ps: only answer if you can come with the solution, not respond with "same" or 
"same here" or something like that.
