Feature request "Group" selection

I'd like to be able to highlight and select multiple elements at once.

Oh, you actually made this a separate issue. I thought this feature was implied in #85. I wrote about my views on it over there.

The difference might be that this feature is a multi-select, while the other one is a persistent grouping/layering that persists through restarting NohBoard and is actually stored in the definition file?

You would be just about correct guys. Think like in an RTS game, you can select individual units, or you can click and drag and a group of units are selected.
