Add an email verification step. On the first signup, a confirmation email should be sent with a link. Once the user clicks the link the email will be confirmed in the api. Then the user will be redirected to the login page to log in normally.

Would this apply to Google, Facebook Sign In as well?

No need as google itself confirms it right? This is for the NATIVE signup method. Right now one can just add anything to the email field and gets logged in 😄. This would help us reach out to the demo users and initiate sales. May need to go with mailgun
