Downloaded game has missing files and there are more game files and less size than windows installation

I got luck and issue #94 didn't hit me the other day and the game was fully (uhm it actually said that it downloaded 120%) downloaded and patched.
After that the game didn't start and complained about missing files like the RenX-FrontEndMap in the log window (Started with windowed parameter). The game crashed after the initial videos and right before entering the main menu.

The file RenX-FrontEndMap was not present in the game directory.

The installation had about 12 GB and the windows installation has about 17 GB of space.
