GT tools installation error #118
-
Hi. I tried installing GT tools manually and the GT tools menu didn't appear as shown in the tutorial video. So i dragged and dropped the gt-tools-menu.mel file into maya script editor and pressed run which gave me this error "# Error: file: C:/Users/munib/OneDrive/Documents/maya/2022/scripts/gt_tools_menu.mel line 189: ModuleNotFoundError: file D:\Autodesk maya\Maya2022\Python37\lib\site-packages\shiboken2\files.dir\shibokensupport_feature_.py line 142: No module named 'gt_tools' # " I tried using automatic install but it says that it couldn't find the maya directory. |

Hey @Xyberg-001, Regarding the error you got when importing it manually: The script is complaining that it didn’t find the expected files under “Documents\maya####\scripts\gt_tools” (that's because they went to the OneDrive one) I don't have OneDrive on my machine to check it, but a good start would be to see if you can find the standard Documents folder then execute the manual installation there (according to the documentation or video). I hope this helps! Edit (2023-08-12) |

Hey @Xyberg-001,
I've seen other people run into similar issues before because of OneDrive.
You might be able to fix this issue by installing the scripts directly in the main "Documents" folder.
For example: “C:\Users<USER>\Documents\maya<VERSION####>”\scripts\gt_tools” instead of the “OneDrive” version of it.
