Different shadows or textures on architecturecraft blocks

Hi, id like to report this issue. When I place blocks of the mod, it seems like they have a darker texture than the original blocks.

The darker blocks are slabs, and the others are normal wood blocks. I used them to put the ladders, because I cant put them in the slabs.

Suggestion: It would be cool if some blocks could work as solid normal blocks where you can put things like torches or ladders. It would give more possibilities of decoration.
