On the sdc-discuss mailing list I was asked to provide a gcore dump of cn-agent the next time I encountered the problem of it booting with the wrong CNAPI address. So here I am. The symptoms are that on reboot of the headnode cn-agent will come up with some address other than the true CNAPI address and will from there on out until svcadm restart cn-agent refuse to do anything useful.

export CNAPI_IP=YOUR_CLIENT_IP
svcadm restart cn-agent

should resolve the issue.
