Current logo is more graphic than usable logo. Its impossible to read in small scale and uses too many effects.
There is also a bit of confusion what the actual logo is. SOmething else on the web, something else is on twitter.
I propose the following:
I offer it as V4V contribution. It took me around 2.5h of discovery.

Hey @designsats - thanks for providing your proposal.
First off a quick ack that we got it, and discussing among us. We'll get back to you.
I like the proposal, and definitely take this as serious proposal.
We've hudddled and found consensus that while appreciating the proposal, we are not ready yet to invest into the surrounding design or CI.
If we'd adopt and change design principles, the preference to go for be an overall overhaul, including the website - not just the logo. Being aware that this would require some additional funding v4v which we don't want to depart from right now.
So we would keep the proposal on design enhancements onto the parking lot until we'd have some further engineering and financial resources to implement.
Hope this makes sense. 👍 for your proposal however
Glad you like it :) There is no problem using the logo first and then developing entire brand later if needed. I would say is better than being "naked".
