Describe Feature
This would be an alternative or extension of the current way of using shops (what is there now is already very cool).

There are many options and possibilities here.

Integrations:

  • Integration with Citizens. Players could create their own NPC vendor (or multiple vendors). Such vendor could open a specific player's shop, or a specific category in that shop.
  • Similar to NPC vendors, you could use MC blocks or furniture (Furniture from plugins like Mythic Crucible or IA, Oraxen).

Requirements:

  • A shop set in the game world would require that its owner can destroy/build in the place where it is set.
  • If it could be done, it would be nice to add e.g. Towny integration, so that such a shop setting in the world would only be possible on a shop plot that is owned by the shop owner. Towny has a ready-made system for something like this to be implemented from what I remember.

Benefits/Advantages:

  • An interesting option would be to create a separate additional tax for this option, which would have to be paid when buying something directly from the gui opened with a command. In stores embedded in the game world, this tax would not be paid.

  • Instead of an additional tax, the owner of a given store could give a special discount or bonuses for purchases made directly in the store (instead of remote purchases). Such a discount would be available for the entire stationary store or for specific categories/items.

  • In the case of some servers, you could choose between remote-only stores, stationary-only stores, or a hybrid.
