So far, there is:

  1. New icon
  2. Win32 GUI (useful for links, console log, input reporting, status indicators, about, etc).
  3. A true installer

Sideways scrolling. (I'll make a PR in a few days)

Make the config file more user friendly or make remapping part of the planned GUI.

Also, dragging a config file of any name onto the Gopher executable and having it use that one. For example gopher_runescape.ini, gopher_wow.ini, gopher_tf2.ini, gopher_main.ini.

Want to play WoW? Drag the WoW config file in and all your binds will be set! (I'll add a public config folder to the repo or a separate repo for people to share their binds).

More control over the mouse speed? Low is too low for me and medium is too high for me, other than that this tool is awesome man, got it working in literally no time.

Making it remember the last set speed would be good. Maybe add the different speed settings in the config file.

Hi Tylemagne

I saw you had some weird lag issues a few years ago and changed the hz speed to smooth it out? I have an app that’s having some lag issues and was hoping I could get you to check it out. My email is justice(a)tabletpro.com. I could help with UI art or design for Gopher360 or pay for your time.

removing the top section from config and replacing it with string codes for the bottom section would allow for more flexibility, as not all inputs on a controller have hex codes (namely the analog inputs), and adding the hex codes of multiple controller inputs does not give you unique results.

Hi Tylemagne,

I think you can make a little bit different navigation for tablet mode. Some kind of media box like navigation. For example switch between applications, desktops, open start menu. A navigation without cursor. Like an Xbox console navigation. What do you think?

Love the little app, pretty straightforward and effective. A couple suggestions would be:

  1. Deadzone control. All of my controllers are pretty dated, and I have to fight with the constant leftward movement of the cursor.
  2. More mouse speeds/adjustment settings. (I've seen this already on the list, just wanted to cast my vote for it as well.
3)On/Off Combo always triggers the Start Menu. It's easy enough to switch off the buttons, but it seems that there could be a way to set this up so a user wouldn't need to.

Anyway, great stuff. A lot less setup than JoytoKey, and works well.

driver implementation to be able to click "yes" on UAC everytime it pops up

i love gopher with all my heart but its not worth it risking the security of my system by disabling UAC
and no getting my fat ass up to the keyboard to hit enter everytime UAC nags is not an option

An option to enable auto-start of the on screen keyboard in the config would be neat. (Maybe I'll try doing that myself)
Also being able to set the default speed in the config would be cool.
I think that low is too slow and medium too fast (when only pushing the stick slightly). I'd say make medium slower when only moving the stick slightly. I like the full speed of medium, but it's too fast for text selection etc.

And definitely slower scrolling

I think it would be convenient to have a default Gopher enabled and hidden settings in the config when ran so that it could be placed in the Windows Startup but not cause any issues if you are in a setting where a controller is not available and you have to restart. Set and forget, so that after restarts you only have to pickup the controller and Toggle without starting it manually and hiding the window with Y.

Dead-zone control.
