Investigate feasibility of using WhatsApp to deliver the phone number verification codes at sign-up/sign-in as an alternative to SMS (see AWS blog post on the subject for more information).

This would be worthwhile because of the cost of delivering SMS messages, and the complexity of setting it up to work in different countries.
