  1. lcm_defs/make_defs.sh script is not working if lcm is not installed in your machine.
  2. The generated java msgs file has victor_hardware_interface namespace not armlab.

Ideally, the first part of this can be resolved by adding the correct files/config to the lcm package, and then using rosrun lcm lcm-gen, so that no separate installer is needed.
