Can you provide documentation for where CRAN allows for a non-creator Maintainer? I was under the impression that the maintainer had to be creator. |

Agreed -- I was, too. I can reach out to r-pkg-devel for clarification, but I am aware of this project on CRAN that breaks that convention: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/CALF/index.html |

As an aside, I would love to help you get a pkgdown site (complete w/ trendy hex logo) built for tcpl! I have started doing it for my projects and think it's really helpful. For example: |

Hey Dayne! Jason is leading development of a new tcpl version at the moment. Perhaps if we can get some understanding of the permissions/role of the creater versus the maintainer based on documentation, we can revisit at our next submission to CRAN. |

Hi, it seems we either misunderstood or behavior is changed, but there are packages on CRAN which specify a creator in
Authors@R
and a separate maintainer. This should allow me to be designated asc("cre", "aut")
with Richard listed under a separateMaintainer
field. I greatly appreciate being included as the sole author since Richard had to be made creator, but with this seemingly new behavior, it would be most fair to list those who have contributed significantly as authors. At minimum, Matt, Woody, and Richard contributed to the core functionality/design.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
