This document explains how you can get involved with the e-Manifest project.
We're so glad you're thinking about contributing to e-Manifest! If you're unsure about anything, just send us an email with your question — or submit the issue or pull request anyway. The worst that can happen is you'll be politely asked to change something. We welcome all friendly contributions.
We encourage you to read this project's CONTRIBUTING policy (you are here), its LICENSE, and its README. Please note that the underlying code for e-Manifest is not stored in this repository. Information in this repository includes services (API) information, documentation, our emanifest Python package, and administrative resources.
If your feedback pertains directly to system functionality, we encourage you to submit a ticket in the RCRAInfo system. If you have recommendations for larger system features, we recommend contacting us to discuss in greater depth.

- To contribute a specific change to this repository, outside contributors will need to fork this repository and open a pull request (PR).
The Issues page in this repository links the Jira tickets for e-Manifest system work currently under development. We recommend reviewing the How e-Manifest uses GitHub Issues document to learn more about how the e-Manifest team utilizes GitHub issues to communicate what we are working on with the user community.
