I really do like the idea of the countdown timer - but I find the seconds a little distracting. I would rather be able to glance up and just see the minutes remaining.

Coincidentally, I used countdown recently - a lot- for timelaps of say 90 seconds, so it depends on the use case I guess. It wouldn't be a big thing to make it optional though.

Think the idea of showing the seconds when the countdown nears completion is still a good one. Maybe compromise - just show minutes - then when less than a minute change to showing seconds.

Doesn't need an option then.

Think that would be a perfect default. Still think an option to show seconds - all the time - would be a useful one. Pretty much all the cases I used it in were short laps, wanted to check seconds- level during countdown.

Made countdown do that, but reversed, two issues: if the countdown time shows e.g. 00:05:00 - it suggests time actually is in seconds, so confusing. Leaving out the seconds part will make countdown slightly move on the panel when it switches to seconds in the < 60 seconds part. To me leaving out seconds at all is no option. Need to find out if we can work with allocated space to make the switch with<>without seconds completely smooth.
