installer from main website stuck at vanillaos 'select your preferred keyboard layout'

I downloaded the installer from Vanillaos.org which downloaded 'latest.zip', after putting this on a usb drive and booting i get the installer, i choose a language, then the next step there are no keyboard layouts available and i can't get past that step. Choosing advanced made no difference.

Downloading either of the github versions both worked, perhaps the website is linking to an old file? The size is also different (1.6gb from github but 1.7 from the main site).

Same here i tried with bouth options and non of them work, in my case im running it in a vm under kvm, idk if it has something to do w it
