Clarify project status/maintainership

Hi folks! I'm looking to introduce saml2aws to my current company's workflows, but when I was performing a due diligence pre-review, I noticed that things look very inactive at the moment:

• Presumptive Versent project lead @tinaboyce hasn't had any commits or other activity on the project since announcing v2.36.18 on October 21
• No other pull requests have been merged since October 20; even Dependabot chore-level dependency updates have been unmerged

Can someone clarify whether this project is still being actively maintained?

I cannot recommend using this at all and recommend going with AWS Identity Center.
This will get you a solution supported by AWS that works much better than this tool ever has.

@mmerfort I appreciate that Identity Center is a first-party supported solution, but it's a paradigm shift requiring significant rearchitecture if its significant limitations even work for your company, not a turnkey tie-in for anyone's existing, working SAML federation on the console
